St. Nicholas Church has been the site of the most meaningful and important family events in my life and I am grateful for the comfort and inspiration it has provided my family for over three generations. I also believe that, with the necessary financial support, the Eparchy is poised to make a substantial contribution to the whole Ukrainian Catholic community by assisting and developing all the parishes of Eparchy.”

“Because we are part of the universal church it doesn’t make sense for us to be on our own. We need to be, we have to be part of the Eparchy. We need to have our Cathedral. We need to have our seminarians. I belong to a religious order, but we serve in this Eparchy and we have served under the Bishop of St. Nicholas Eparchy. We could not exist without the Eparchy, without the Cathedral, without the bishop. That is the essence of being a Catholic church.”

“For myself, for my immediate family and my broader family it’s important to maintain the Ukrainian Catholic traditions because we were brought up in them, we were raised in them. This is our life. But our world is changing and our church must evolve with it. Not on a day-to-day or month-to-month basis. We must think about the future of our church in terms of a long-term continuum. And the Eparchy, in its leadership role in our Church, must have the resources to lead and to continue to support our Ukrainian Catholic faithful for many decades to come.”
