In spite of the fact that the COVID-19 virus has slowed down our campaign activities, we are planning a wrap-up of Phases 1 &2 and the launch. New staff have joined the Development Department to provide sustainable services to the Eparchy and our parishes. We are happy to announce the appointment of Dr. Maria Kokor as our new Director of Stewardship and Development and Mrs. Oksana Lasiychuk-Cromley to a new part-time position of Assistant Director and Database Administrator of eTapestry. Maria and Oksana are both active members of our community in Chicago, have the understanding of the current challenges our Eparchy is facing, but most importantly, they have knowledge, experience, excellent organizational and communication skills necessary to manage a fundraising campaign.
With regard to eTapestry, after several fits and starts with developing our own campaign database, we have decided to enter a licensing agreement with eTapestry, a leading fundraising database management tool that provides nonprofits with simple cloud-based fundraising and financial reporting systems. It will cost approximately $3,500 annually to rent. Last but not least, we are working on better linking our fundraising effort to the accounting and finance arm of the Eparchy and on reorganizing job descriptions to accommodate all the Eparchial goals and facilitate good communications as best we can.
